The Holy Names University COMMUNITY Orchestra is a self-funded community based ensemble sanctioned by Holy Names University, located in the Oakland Hills.

The mission of the HNUCO is to

inspire, delight and connect performers

with audiences through the power of

live, innovative musical programs.

It offers members a place to learn, prepare, and present quality musical experiences for diverse audiences.

The volunteer musicians contribute financially to partially offset costs of operating the orchestra. It will also rely on ticket sales, donations, and contributions from those who support the performing arts at the Regents’ Theater in the Valley Center for the Performing Arts.

An active search for its music director for the inaugural launch began in March 2020.

Four qualified candidates presented themselves to the orchestra by leading rehearsals to reveal musical knowledge, conducting abilities, and interpersonal skills.

You are cordially invited to join as orchestra members, supporters, and of course, by attending concerts.
